Ganesa Chathurthi message from Sadguru Swami Bodhananda ji Maharaj

Ganesa Chathurthi message from Sadguru Swami Bodhananda ji Maharaj
~~~~~~~~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
The Hindus world over celebrate Vinayaka Chaturthi on the 5th of September, the fourth day of the waxing moon, in the month of Bhadrapada. The celebrations continue for ten days till the 14th day of the bright moon. Devotees make clay images of Ganesha, do prana pratishta,  and worship the Lord of Obstacles offering modakam, durva and red hibiscus flowers. On the fourteenth day the idol is immersed in nearby river, lake or ocean.
Thus what is invoked from the universal consciousness is reversed back to the same source. Replaying the cosmic cycle of creation, celebration and dissolution. All rituals are a recreation of this eternal cycle of becoming and unbecoming; birth and death, day and night. Knowing this cyclical nature of existence is freedom, going through this roller coaster ride without losing self is spirituality.
We are a unique paradox. On one side we are infinite consciousness and on the other we are tiny specks of matter floating in the vast cosmos. Consciousness riding on matter and matter floating in consciousness. The eater becoming the eaten. A snake swallowing its own tail. Ganesha creates obstacles and removes obstacles. As though it is all a play. Life is just a game of plug and play. Isn’t spirituality  being  playful?
Ganesha has big belly, big ears, flexible trunk, broken tusk, mischievous eyes and He rides on a tiny robust mouse. What do we learn by the worship of this intriguing icon? Ability to digest complex data, willingness to listen stories of others, flexibility in opinions, humility in accomplishments, child like curiosity and encompassing wisdom!
May Lord Siddhi Vinayaka bring prosperity, peace and loving unity to humanity and bless each one of us with personal transformation.
Positives in Negatives
A young woman was sitting at her dining table, worried about taxes to be paid, house-work to be done and to top it all, her extended family was coming over for festival lunch the next day. She was not feeling very thankful at that time.
As she turned her gaze sideways, she noticed her young daughter scribbling furiously into her notebook.
“My teacher asked us to write a paragraph on “Negative Thanks giving” for homework today.”
said the daughter.
“She asked us to write down things that we are thankful for, things that make us feel not so good in the beginning, but turn out to be good after all.”
With curiosity, the mother peeked into the book. This is what her daughter wrote:
“I’m thankful for Final Exams, because that means school is almost over.
I’m thankful for bad-tasting medicine, because it helps me feel better.
I’m thankful for waking up to alarm clocks, because it means I’m still alive.”
It then dawned on the mother, that she had a lot of things to be thankful for!
She thought again…
She had to pay taxes but that meant she was fortunate to be employed.
She had house-work to do but that meant she had a shelter to live in.
She had to cook for her many family members for lunch but that meant she had a family with whom she could celebrate.
Moral:
We generally complain about the negative things in life but we fail to look at the positive side of it.
What is the positive in your negatives? Look at the better part of life today and make ur everyday a great day.
Be happy and blessed always.... 🌹
The Power of Mind...
The little country schoolhouse was heated by an old-fashioned, pot-bellied coal stove. A little boy had the job of coming to school early each day, to start the fire and warm the room before his teacher and his classmates arrived.
One morning, they arrived to find the schoolhouse engulfed in flames. They dragged the unconscious little boy out of the flaming building, more dead than alive. He had major burns over the lower half of his body and was taken to a nearby county hospital.
From his bed, the dreadfully burned semi-conscious little boy faintly heard the doctor talking to his mother. The doctor told his mother that her son would surely die – which was for the best, really – for the terrible fire had devastated the lower half of his body.
But the brave boy didn’t want to die. He made up his mind that he would survive. Somehow, to the amazement of the physician, he did survive. When the mortal danger was past, he again heard the doctor and his mother speaking quietly. The mother was told that since the fire had destroyed so much flesh in the lower part of his body, it would almost be better if he had died, since he was doomed to be a lifetime cripple with no use at all of his lower limbs.
Once more the brave boy made up his mind. He would not be a cripple. He would walk. But unfortunately from the waist down, he had no motor ability. His thin legs just dangled there, all but lifeless.
Ultimately he was released from the hospital. Every day his mother would massage his little legs, but there was no feeling, no control, nothing. Yet his mental power and will, that he would walk was as strong as ever.
When he wasn’t in bed, he was confined to a wheelchair. One sunny day his mother wheeled him out into the yard to get some fresh air. This day, instead of sitting there, he threw himself from the chair. He pulled himself across the grass, dragging his legs behind him.
He worked his way to the white picket fence bordering their lot. With great effort, he raised himself up on the fence. Then, stake by stake, he began dragging himself along the fence, resolved that he would walk. He started to do this every day until he wore a smooth path all around the yard beside the fence. There was nothing he wanted more, than to develop life in those legs.
Ultimately through his daily massages, his mental power, his iron persistence and his resolute determination, he did develop the ability to stand up, then to walk haltingly, then to walk by himself – and then – to run.
He began to walk to school, then to run to school, to run for the sheer joy of running. Later in college he made the track team. Still later in Madison Square Garden, this young man who was not expected to survive, who would surely never walk, who could never hope to run – this determined young man, *Dr. Glenn Cunningham,* ran the world’s fastest mile.
On June 16, 1934, Glenn Cunningham ran the mile in 4:06.8 minutes, breaking the world’s record. His effort portrays that whatever you want to create in your life with the power of mind, is yours for the making.
*Lesson:* The human mind has potential beyond imagination. As the Bhagwad Gita says, "One's own mind is one's own friend or enemy."  It is a powerful instrument which can either bind or liberate. The catch is, to realize it's potential and use it well. 🙏
Shunya - Vishnu Sahasranamam
One of the “namas” in the Vishnu Sahasranamam is the name “shunyah” given to Vishnu, which appears in sloka No. 79
The Sanskrit word “shunya” means zero, nullity , cipher,  emptiness.
It would strike anyone as extremely odd that the Sahasranamam should choose to call Lord Vishnu as Zero!
You can understand God being called eka, the One Supreme Being. The essence of all monistic theism lies in the belief that God is One.
You can understand too God being addressed as “ananthaha” the Infinite, as in the Sahasranamam stanza 70.
Since God is Immeasurable it seems plainly alright to name Him “ananthaha” the Infinite.  But how is one to explain hailing the Almighty as “shunyah” the Cipher?
There is a view that “If Infinity is immeasurable, so is Zero”. Mathematically speaking, one could define zero to be anti-infinity.  If Infinity is immeasurable plenitude, Zero  is immeasurable emptiness.
If you were to imagine, say, an interminable series of values, from zero to infinity, floating somewhere out there in endless space, then, surely, Zero would be at one end of it while Infinity would be found at the other end, wherever, that is, the two ends may be found, if at all.  And if you reflect upon it deeply, that would make out Zero  and lnfinity  to be two sides of the same un-graspable coin.
By the same logic, you might say the Sanskrit “ananthaha” and “shunyah” might seem antonymous but in reality they mean the same thing. Hailing God Almighty as “Lord Infinity” is hence no different from hailing Him “Lord Zero”.
*SOME DAY & ONE DAY*
_LOVELY..... A MUST READ!_
_A friend of mine opened his wife's wardrobe and picked up a silk paper wrapped package._
_"This," he said, "isn't any ordinary package."_
_He unwrapped the box and stared at both the silk paper and the box and silk satin dresses inside._
_"She got this the first time we went to New York , 8 or 9 years ago. She has never put it on , was saving it for a special occasion. Well, I guess this is it."_
_He got near the bed and placed the gift box next to the other clothing he was taking to the funeral house, his wife had just died._
_He turned to me and said, "never save something for a 'special occasion'. Every day in your life is a *'Special occasion'"*_
👉
_I still think those words changed my life._
_Now I read more and clean less._I sit on the porch without worrying about anything._
_I spend more time with my family, and less at work._
*_I understood that life should be a source of experience to be lived up to, not survived through._*
_I no longer keep anything._
_I use crystal glasses every day._
_I'll wear new clothes to go to the supermarket, if I feel like it._
*_I don't save my special perfume for special occasions, I use it whenever I want to._*
_The words *'Someday....' and ' One Day...'*are fading away from my dictionary._
_If it's worth seeing, listening or doing, I want to see, listen or do it now._
_I don't know what my friend's wife would have done if she knew she wouldn't be there the next morning, this nobody can tell._
_*Each day, each hour, each minute, is special.*_
_Live for today, for tomorrow is promised to no-one._
_If you're too busy to send this out to other people and you say to yourself that you will send it 'One of these days', remember that *'One day' is far away... or might never come.....*_
Always THANK GOD!
A Construction Supervisor from 16th Floor of a Building was calling a Worker on Ground Floor.
Because of noise the Worker did not hear his Call.
To draw Attention, the Supervisor threw a 10 Rupee Note in Front of Worker.
He picked up the Note, put it in His Pocket & Continued to Work.
Again to Draw Attention the Supervisor threw 500 Rupee Note & the Worker did the same,
Now the Supervisor picked a small Stone & threw on the Worker.
The Stone hit the Worker.
This time the Worker looked Up & the Supervisor Communicated with Him.
This Story is same as to our 'LIFE'...
God wants to Communicate with Us, but We are Busy doing our Worldly Jobs.
Then, he give Us Small Gifts & Big Gifts......
We just keep them without looking from Where We Got it.
We are the Same.
Just keeping the gifts without Thanking him,
We just say We are LUCKY.
And when we are Hit with a Small Stone, which We call PROBLEMS, then only We look Up & Communicate with him.
Thats why it is said. .....
He gives, gives and forgives
And
We get, get and forget.......
😊Always thank God
Attitude matters!
*SUPERB ATTITUDE*.
_Pls read this story._
This story is about a person working with a freezer plant. It was almost the day end. Everyone had packed up to check out. A technical snag developed in the plant and he went to check.
By the time he finished it was late. The doors were sealed and the lights were off. Trapped inside the ice plant for the night without air and light, an icy grave was almost sure for him.
Hours passed thus. Suddenly he found someone opening the door.
Was it a miracle?
The security guard entered there with a torch and helped him to come out.
On the way back the person asked the security guard,
“How did you know that I was inside? Who informed you?”
the guard said, “No one sir; this unit has about 50 people. But you are the only one who says Hello to me in the morning and Bye in the evening.
You had reported in morning. But did not go out. That made me suspicious.”
He never knew a small gesture of greeting someone would prove to be a lifesaver for him.
You never know - it may work a miracle in your life too.
*Education is not a degree or certificate that can be shown to others as proof. It is our attitude, actions, language and behaviour with others in real life*
Welcome cup of Tea...
Little long but worth the read..👍🏻
Welcome cup of Tea...  ( a touching true story...)
A group of 15 soldiers led by a Major were on their way to their post in Himalayas where they would be deployed for the next 3 months.
The batch who would  be relieved waited anxiously.
It was cold a winter & intermittent snowfall made the treacherous climb even more difficult.
If someone could offer a cup of tea....the Major thought, knowing it was a futile wish..
They continued for an hour before they came across a dilapidated structure, which looked like a tea shop but locked. It was late in the night.
"No tea boys, bad luck", said the Major. But he suggested all take some rest there as they have been walking for 3 hours.
"Sir, this is a tea shop and we can make tea... We will have to break the lock", suggested one soldier.
The Major was in a dilemma about acceding to the unethical suggestion but the thought of a steaming cup of tea for the tired solders made him to give the permission.
They were in luck, the place had everything needed to make tea and also packets of biscuits.
The solders had tea & biscuits and  were ready for their remaining journey.
The major thought...they had broken the lock open and had tea & biscuits without the owner's permission. They're not a band of thieves but disciplined soldiers.
He took out a Rs1000/- note from his wallet, placed it on the  counter, pressed it under sugar container, so that the owner would see it.
The officer guilt was partly relieved.
He ordered the shutter to be pulled down and for them to proceed.
Three months passed by, they continued to do their work and were lucky not to loose anyone from the group in the intense insurgency situation.
It was time for another team to replace them.
Soon they were on their way back and stopped at the same tea shop which was open and owner was present in the shop.
The owner an old man with meager resources was very happy to greet 15 customers.
All of them had tea and biscuits.
They talked to the old man about his life and  experience specially selling tea at such a remote location
The old man had many stories to tell, replete with his faith in God.
"Oh, Baba, if God is there, why should He keep you in such poverty ?",  commented one of them.
"Do not say  like that Sahib ! God actually is there, I got proof.
3 months ago. I was going through very tough times because my only son had been severely beaten by terrorists who wanted some information from him which he did not have.
I had closed my shop to take my son to hospital. Some medicines were to be purchased and I had no money.
No one would give
me loan for fear of the terrorists.
There was no hope, Sahib".
"And that day Sahib, I prayed to God for help. And Sahib, God walked into my shop that day."
"When I returned to my shop, I found the lock broken,
I felt I was finished,
I lost whatever little I had.
But
then I saw that God had left Rs 1000/= under the sugar pot.
I can't tell you Sahib what that money was worth that day.
God exists Sahib. He does."
The faith in his eyes were unflinching.
Fifteen pairs of eyes met the eyes of the officer and read the order in his eyes clear and unambiguous, "Keep quiet".
The officer got up and paid the bill.
He hugged the old man and said, "Yes Baba, I know God does exist.
And yes,
the tea was wonderful."
The 15 pairs of eyes did not miss to notice the moisture building up in the eyes of their officer, a rare sight.
The truth is
"YOU" can be GOD to anyone.🙏
Are we using our Strength?
Loved this Perspective - to share with our fiercely independent kids.
A young boy and his father were walking along a forest path. At some point, they came across a large tree branch on the ground in front of them.
The boy asked his father, “If I try, do you think I could move that branch?” His father replied, “I am sure you can, if you use all your strength.”
The boy tried his best to lift or push the branch, but he was not strong enough and he couldn't move it.
He said, with disappointment, “You were wrong, dad. I can't move it.”
“Try again,” replied his father.
Again, the boy tried hard to push the branch. He struggled but it did not move.
“Dad, I cannot do it,” said the boy.
Finally his father said, “Son, I advised you to use all your strength. You didn’t. You didn't ask for my help.”
~~~

Some reflections on this story...
📌
We haven't used all our strength until we have recognized, appreciated and galvanized the strength and support of those who love and surround us, and those who care about our purpose.
📌
Our real strength lies not in independence, but in interdependence. No individual person has all the strengths, all the resources and all the stamina required for the complete blossoming of their vision. That requires the inspired collaboration of many like-hearted beings.
📌
To ask for help and support when we need it, is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of wisdom. It is a call for the greater strength that lives in our togetherness.
📌
When we ask for help and we are refused, it just means we have to ask at another time or ask in another way or ask another person.
It helps to remember SWSWSWSW. Some will, some won't, so what, someone's waiting!
📌
When by yourself
You cannot manage
To complete any task
Use ALL your strength...
Turn around and ASK!
📌

Does SOUL perish from BODY when we Die - good story

🍂A disciple asked his Guru- "Is there a 'Soul' in our body,? Will it not 'perish' like the body.?"

The Guru explained..

"Milk" is useful but if left as it is.. it gets spoiled..

In case u add a drop a "Buttermilk".. it becomes "Curd".. and the Milk that turns to Curd, remains for one more day without getting spoiled..

If left as it is.. the Curd gets spoiled..

Yet, if u churn the "Curd" it becomes "Butter" which doesn't get spoiled..

But, even Butter also does not remain fresh for many days.. It becomes rancid or spoiled after a few days..

But if u melt Butter in a proper manner.. It becomes pure "Ghee", which never gets spoiled..

Now, do u see that the "Milk" which gets spoiled contains "Ghee" that never gets spoiled.?

Likewise, inside the "perishable" Body, there is an "imperishable" Soul..

Sankirtan, Seva & Sadhana..
makes the "perishable Body"..
to be one with "imperishable Soul"..

Human Body is the milk..
Sankirtan is the buttermilk..
Seva is the churning..
& then by Sadhana we melt the 'reformed body' to be one with the 'soul'. 🌹

Our culture light years ahead of Western.

A beautiful story, which we have come across many times in our religious discourse but never we could associate or accept since this did not come from Western wisdom!

_---------------------

"Mom, I am a genetic scientist. I am working in the US on the evolution of man. Theory of evolution, Charles Darwin, have you heard of him? " Vasu asked.

His Mother sat down next to him and smiled, "I know Darwin, Vasu. I also know that what you think he discovered is old news in India."

" Yeah sure Mom!" Vasu said with sarcasm.

"Well if you are too smart then listen to this, " his Mother countered." Have you heard of Dashavatar? The ten avatars of Vishnu?" Vasu nodded.

"Then let me tell you what you and Mr. Darwin don't know. Listen carefully- The first avatar was the Matsya avatar, it means the fish. That is because life began in the water. Is that not right?" Vasu began to listen with a little more attention.

"Then came the Kurma Avatar, which means the tortoise, because life moved from the water to the land. The amphibian. So the Tortoise denoted the evolution from sea to land.

Third was the Varaha, the wild boar, which meant the wild animals with not much intellect, you call them the Dinosaurs, correct? " Vasu nodded wide eyed.

"The fourth avatar was the Narasimha avatar, half man and half animal, the evolution from wild animals to intelligent beings.

Fifth the Waman avatar, the midget or dwarf, who could grow really tall. Do you know why that is? Cause there were two kinds of humans, Homo Erectus and the Homo Sapiens and Homo Sapiens won that battle." Vasu could see that his Mother was in full flow and he was stupefied.

"The Sixth avatar was Parshuram, the man who wielded the axe, the man who was a cave and forest dweller. Angry, and not social.

The seventh avatar  was Ram, the first thinking social being, who laid out the laws of society and the basis of all relationships.

The eight avatar was Krishna, the statesman, the politician, the lover who played the game of society and taught how to live and thrive in the social structure.

The Ninth avatar, the Buddha, the man who rose from Narasimha and found man's true nature. The nature of Buddha, he identified man's final quest of enlightenment.

And finally, my boy, will come Kalki, the man you are working on. The man who will be genetically supreme."

Vasu looked at his Mother speechless. "This is amazing Mom, how did you.. This makes sense!"

"Yes it does Vasu! We Indians knew some amazing things just didnt know how to pass it on scientifically. So made them into mythological stories.

Mythology makes sense. Its just the way you look at it - Religious or Scientific. Your call.

Beautiful Story of feelings.

Once there was an island where all the feelings lived together. One day there came a storm in the sea and the island was about to drown.

Every feeling was scared but Love made a boat to escape. All the feelings jumped in the boat except for one feeling. Love got down to see who it was...it was Ego! Love tried & tried but Ego didn't move. Everyone asked Love to leave Ego & come in the boat but Love was meant to Love. It remained with Ego.

All other feelings were left alive but Love died because of Ego!!

Think over it.....

You'll love it every time u read it.

OUT OF BOX THINKING.!

(as received on WhatsApp)

Few questions   asked in HR interview...

The answers are really stunning and inspiring........

Question 1:

You are driving your car on a wild, stormy night, it's raining heavily, when suddenly you pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for a bus:
* An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
* An old friend who once saved your life.
* The perfect partner you have been dreaming about.

Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing very well that there could only be one passenger in your car?

This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.

He simply answered:

"I would give the car keys to my Old friend and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the partner of my dreams."

Sometimes, we gain more if we are able to give up our stubborn thought limitations. Never forget to "Think Outside of the Box."

------------------------
Question 2:

What will you do if I run away with your sister?

The candidate who was selected answered " I will not get a better match for my sister than you sir"

------------------------
Question 3:

Interviewer (to a student girl candidate) What if one morning you woke up & found that you were pregnant.

Girl I will be very excited and take an off, to celebrate with my husband.

Normally an unmarried girl will be shocked to hear this, but she managed it well. Why I should think it in the wrong way, she said later when asked.

------------------------
Question 4:

Interviewer: He ordered a cup of coffee for the candidate. Coffee arrived kept before the candidate, then he asked what is before you?

Candidate: Instantly replied "Tea"

He got selected.

You know how and why did he say "TEA" when he knows very well that coffee was kept before.

(Answer: The question was "What is before you (U alphabet) Reply was "TEA" ( T alphabet)

Alphabet "T" was before Alphabet "U"

------------------------
Question5;

Interviewer said "I shall either ask you ten easy questions or one really difficult question.

Think well before you make up your mind!" The boy thought for a while and said, "my choice is one really difficult question."

"Well, good luck to you, you have made your own choice! Now tell me this. "What comes first, Day or Night?"

The boy was jolted into reality as his admission depends on the correctness of his answer, but he thought for a while and said, "It's the DAY sir!"

"How" the interviewer asked,

"Sorry sir, you promised me that you will not ask me a SECOND difficult question!"

------------------------

Sometimes just thinking out of the box is all it takes!

Share with your friend and give them a special moment of thinking...!!

🍃🌿
A King had a male servant who, in all circumstances always said to
My king, do not be discouraged  because everything God does is perfect, no mistakes.

One day, they went hunting and a wild animal attacked the king, the servant managed to kill the animal but couldn't prevent his majesty from losing a finger.

Furious and without showing gratitude,
the King said; if God was good, I would not have been attacked and lost one finger.

The servant replied 'despite all these things, I can only tell you that God is good and everything He does is perfect, He is never wrong'.

Outraged by the response, the king ordered the arrest of his servant.

While being taken to prison, he told the king again, God is Good & Perfect.
Another day, the king left alone for another hunt and was captured by savages who use human beings for sacrifice.

On the altar, the savages found out that the king didn't have one finger in place, he was released because he was considered not "complete" to be offered to the Gods

On his return to the palace, he ordered the release of his servant and said; My friend, God was really good to me. I was almost killed but for lack of a single finger. I was let go.

But I have a question; If God is so good, why did He allow me to put you in prison?

His servant replied; My king, if I had not been put in prison, I would have gone with you, and would have been sacrificed, because I have no missing finger.
                                                         Everything God does is perfect, He is never wrong.

Often we complain about life, and the negative thinking in us kills the positivity in us...so think positive and trust God at every moment....

God knows why he choose you to read this message today, please bless someone with it by sharing it.

🍃God is good and perfect!!
🌿Thank God....Be in Gratitude🙏

Six thought provoking sentences for a better living!

1. In a 2000 Sq feet house you live in 200 Sq feet; in the remaining 1800 Sq feet lives your ego.

2.The difference between "Time" and "Wealth". You are always aware at all times how much wealth you have but you are never aware at any time how much time you have !!!

3. An anklet costs thousands but is worn on the feet whereas a bindi costs ₹ 2 and is worn on the forehead....Therefore it is not the cost that matters but the place.

4. In a book store lie both the Holy Gita and the Koran. They never quarrel with each other. ..The ones who fight in their name are those who have never read them....

5. A true friend is one who tells you the truth which may hurt like salt on a wound; those who speak sweetly are only sycophants. It is a known fact that salt never spoils but sweets spoil very easily.

6. Science claims that when hurt is inflicted on the tongue, it heals very fast .....Wisdom says that when hurt is inflicted by the tongue, it never heals.

NEIVEDYAM - A Guru and Sishya conversation

The sishya who doesn't believe in God, asked his Guru thus:  "Does God accept our 'neivedhyam'? If God eats away the 'prasadham' then from where can we distribute it to others? Does God really consume the 'prasadham', Guruji?"

The Guru did not say anything. Instead, asked the student to prepare for classes.

That day, the Guru was teaching his class about the 'upanishads'. He taught them the 'mantra': "poornamadham, poornamidham, poornasya poornaadaaya...." and explained that: 'every thing came out from "Poorna or Totality." (of ishavasya upanishad).

Later, everyone was instructed to practice the mantra by-heart. So all the boys started praciting. After a while, the Guru came back and asked that very student who had raised his doubt about Neivedya to recite the mantra without seeing the book,  which they did.

Now the Guru gave a smile and asked this particular sishya who didn't believe in God: 'Did each of you really by-heart everything as it is in the book? The sishya said: "yes Guruji, I've recited whatever is written as in the book.

The Guru asked: "If you have taken every word into your mind then how come the words are still there in the book? He then explained:

"The words in your mind are in the SOOKSHMA STHITI (unseen form). The words in the book are there in the STOOLASTHITI (seen).

God too is in the 'sooksma sthiti'. The offering made to Him is done in 'stoola sthiti'. Thus, God takes the food in 'sookshmam'. Hence the food doesn't become any less in quantity.

While GOD takes it in the sookshma sthiti,  we take it as 'prasadam' in 'stoola sthiti'.

Hearing this the sishya felt guilty for his disbelief in God and surrendered himself to his GURU.

Notice from Management!

To:
Dear Employees,

Due to the current financial situation caused by the slowdown of economy, Management has decided to implement a scheme to put workers of 40 years of age and above on early retirement. This scheme will be known as RAPE (Retire Aged People Early).

Persons selected to be RAPED can apply to management to be eligible for the SHAFT scheme (Special Help After Forced Termination).

Persons who have been RAPED and SHAFTED will be reviewed under the SCREW programme (Scheme Covering Retired Early Workers).

A person may be RAPED once, SHAFTED twice and SCREWED as many times as Management deems appropriate.

Persons who have been RAPED can only get AIDS (Additional Income for Dependants & Spouse) or HERPES (Half Earnings for Retired Personnel Early Severance).

Obviously persons who have AIDS or HERPES will not be SHAFTED or SCREWED any further by Management.

Persons who are not RAPED and are staying on will receive as much SHIT (Special High Intensity Training) as possible. Management has always prided itself on the amount of SHIT it gives employees. Should you feel that you do not receive enough SHIT, please bring to the attention of your Supervisor. They have been trained to give you all the SHIT you can handle.

Sincerely,
The Management

"Army in Kashmir": Irony in Humour----

A Kashmiri, a reporter and a tough old soldier were captured by terrorists in Kashmir. The leader of the terrorists told them he'd grant each of them one last request before they were beheaded and dragged naked through the streets.

The Kashmiri said,'Well, I'm a foodie, so I'd like one last plate of tandoori chicken.' The leader nodded to an underling who left and returned with the Chicken. The Kashmiri ate it all and said, 'Now I can die content.'

The reporter said, 'I'm a reporter to the end. I want to take out my tape recorder and describe the scene here and what's about to happen. Maybe, someday, someone will hear it and know that I was on the job till the end.' The leader directed an aide to hand over the tape recorder and the reporter dictated his comments. He then said, 'Now I can die happy.'

The leader turned to the soldier and asked, 'And now, Havaldarji, what is your final wish?  'Kick me in the rear,' said the soldier.

'What?' asked the leader, 'Will you mock us in your last hour?'

'No, I'm NOT kidding. I want you to kick me in the rear,' insisted the soldier. So the leader shoved him into the yard and kicked him in the rear. The soldier went sprawling, but rolled to his knees, pulled a 9 mm pistol from inside his cammies and shot the leader dead. In the resulting confusion, he emptied his sidearm on six terrorists, then with his knife he slashed the throat of one, and with an AK-47, which he took from one of the already dead terrorists, sprayed the rest of the terrorists killing another 11. In a flash, all of them were either dead or fleeing for their lives.

As the soldier was untying the Kashmiri and the reporter, they asked him, 'Why didn't you just shoot them all in the first place? Why did you ask him to kick you in the rear?'

'Because' replied the soldier, 'if I had shot first, you two morons would have reported that I was the aggressor and the root cause of all the blood shedding in Kashmir.'

This is the painful irony of Indian Democracy. . .

URGENTLY NEEDED, (food for thought!)

Not BLOOD, but

An ELECTRICIAN, to 'restore the current' between People, who do not speak to each other anymore. . .

An OPTICIAN, to 'change the outlook' of people. . .

An ARTIST, to 'draw a smile' on everyone's face. . .

A CONSTRUCTION WORKER, to 'build a bridge' between angry neighbors & relatives & Friends . .

A GARDENER, to 'cultivate positive
good thoughts' . . .

And

Last but not the least

A MATHS TEACHER,
For all of us to re-learn how to 'count'  our blessings everyday . . .

We love ourselves even after making so many mistakes.
Then how can we hate others for their small mistakes ?

A thought which is so true, but we always FORGET...
